Located at the northeast corner of I-94 (off exit 215) and Merrill Avenue in Glendive.

Located in eastern Monana at the entrance to Glendive on the Montana Dinosaur Trail, the museum is projected to open in late summer 2007. The GDFM will be Big Sky Country’s newest dinosaur museum, and at 20,000 square feet, its second largest.

With over 23 full-sized dinosaur, mammal, marine reptile and other fossil replicas arranged according to their environments, specially designed by noted Montana artist and zoologist Melanie Richard, visitors will see T-rex, Triceratops, and a host of others, including a Thescelosaurus recently excavated by GDFM. The museum will also display a large collection of real dinosaur bones and fossils. A 70-seat theater wil explore the question of origins, and the largest dinosaur gift shop in Montana will offer a wide variety of products and educational materials.

Daily and weekly dinosaur digs on private property are currently offered through the museum. Past diggers have excavated fossils of T-rex, Triceratops, Edmontosaurus and Thescelosaur. Reservations are required—please call or email us to book your dig.

The Glendive Dinosaur & Fossil Museum will be open year-round, Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm (summer) and 9am to 5pm (winter). Admission fees for 2007 are $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for seniors and students. Contact museum for group or tour rates. RV and Bus parking, groups welcome.
