General info

This one room cabin is located 30 miles south of Big Timber. This one room cabin has a wood cooking stove and a wood burning stove.  There are 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed. There is no water. There is a creek nearby.  No bedding.  The maximum number of people is 4.  $25/night.

Primitive road last .5 mi. to the trailhead. Not recommended for low clearance vehicles. Hikers need to ford Lower Deer Cr. numerous times.

General Notes:

Corrals for horses, supplemental feed required. Wood heat/cook stove. No power or drinking water.


Exit Interstate 90 at Bridger Creek Exit No. 384; travel south on Bridger Creek Road for 8 miles to the junction of West Bridger Creek Road; turn right (west) and continue on West Bridger Creek Road 4 miles to the trailhead and sign, "West Bridger Tr. #129, Lower Deer Cr". Hike 2.5 miles west on Trail #129, and 1.5 miles south on Trail #5.
