General info

Between limestone cliffs lies the Logging Creek Campground. It stretches along the Logging Creek.  There are 25 sites each with a table and fire ring.  The creek can be fished for Brook and Rainbow Trout.  Vault toilets and 2 water spigots available.  Open seasonal Memorial Day weekend through Thanksgiving.  No water provided after September 15.  $10/day fee with a maximum stay of 14 days.

DIRECTIONS: From Great Falls, MT, take US Rt. 89 south 3.2 miles to State Rt. 227.  Turn right onto Rt. 227 and go 5 miles to "Y" intersection.  Bear left at intersection toward Stockett, MT and go 8.7 miles (past Stockett) to another "Y" intersection.  Bear left onto Evans-Riceville Rd. (dirt and gravel) and go 15.4 miles to still another "Y" intersection.  Bear right (single-lane dirt and gravel with turnouts) and go 4.4 miles to Logging Creek campground/Forest Rt. 839 sign.  Turn right onto Rt. 839 and go 2.2 miles to campground sign.  Turn left into campground.
