Fishtrap Lake Campground has 13 campsites located in the Lolo National Forest. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets and water available. Boating and fishing for trout are enjoyed on the Fishtrap Lake. No motor boats allow. There is a boat launch. Hiking nearby. No fee for camping. Maximum stay is 14 days. Open all year round.
Directions: From the town of Thompson Falls, travel 5 miles east on state highway 200. Turn left (north) onto the paved Thompson River Road (do not take the graveled road). Travel 15 miles north on the Thompson River Road. Turn left (west) on Fishtrap Creek Road #516 for 14 miles. Then turn left (west) on Forest Service Road #7593 for 2 miles; road is narrow. Campground is 200 feet beyond the lake access.
